Senior Director/VP, Intellectual Property
MWA are delighted to introduce an exceptional opportunity with our client, a leading organisation in the global IP landscape.
Our client operates a distinctive defensive ecosystem that combines strategic patent acquisition, syndicated licensing, and advanced analytics to help innovative businesses reduce risk and avoid costly, unnecessary litigation. Their model has already saved companies billions in potential legal spending and continues to shape how industry leaders approach IP risk management.
Our client is now expanding its focus in Europe. With the UPC fully operational and patent assertion activity on the rise, they recognise this as the ideal moment to strengthen their regional capabilities. As a result, they are seeking an accomplished business development professional to support and accelerate their growth in this increasingly active market.
- Shape the future of IP protection: Join our client at a pivotal moment as the first European hire, and play a leading role in shaping how the company operates across Europe. Your work will directly influence the growth of an already expansive network, helping companies defend themselves against NPEs and unnecessary litigation.
- Drive strategic impact and expansion: You will have the freedom to bring your own ideas to business development, identifying new opportunities and partnerships across the European IP landscape. This is a chance to build processes, shape offerings, and leave a lasting imprint on a world-first IP business.
- Collaborate with a global team of high performers: Work closely with an experienced, supportive, and grounded team across the US, Asia and Europe. You’ll contribute to a culture that values collaboration, discretion, and professional excellence, while enjoying the autonomy to make decisions and influence strategy in a fast-growing company.
Our client is seeking an accomplished relationship-builder and business developer who feels at home navigating the IP landscape. You may bring experience in patent licensing, IP business development, or patent litigation, and you should be confident engaging with senior stakeholders after receiving full training in our client’s services and platform. The ideal candidate will be based in Germany, with German language skills helping to support deeper engagement within one of Europe’s key IP hubs.
If you are excited by the opportunity to contribute strategic ideas and strengthen a growing European presence, we’d love to hear from you!
