Patent Attorney
MWA is delighted to introduce an exceptional opportunity with our client Larsen & Birkeholm. Founded in 1973, L&B is a Danish firm that has steadily grown in reputation, driven by a clear mission: to provide world-class IP services to startups and SMEs, while keeping them affordable. The firm operates on a distinctive business model, billing clients by project rather than by the hour. This approach makes high-quality IP support accessible to smaller innovators and fosters strong, lasting client relationships.
Presently, the firm is actively planning for the future. This presents an excellent opportunity for a patent attorney to take ownership of a varied caseload and contribute to the firm’s vision. You will have the chance to:
- Become the future of a highly successful firm. Larsen & Birkeholm is at a pivotal point. With a foundation of clients ready for you to build upon, this is a role shaped by long-term thinking, where you will be supported to grow into a trusted leader and a central pillar of the business.
- Take responsibility for the full spectrum of substantive patent matters while benefiting from the guidance of an experienced team of patent attorneys. You will liaise directly with clients and contribute to Larsen & Birkeholm’s ongoing expansion and impact.
- Become a part of a fantastic team culture, where quality of services, client relationships, and efficiency are prioritised over internal competition. With no billable hours, the firm places real emphasis on sustainable working practices and work–life balance.
As a Patent Attorney at Larsen & Birkeholm you will be based in the Copenhagen office and join a close-knit, low-hierarchy team known for its close client relationships, practical advice, and genuinely collaborative way of working. Larsen & Birkeholm fosters an open, supportive culture built on trust, shared responsibility, and quality of life, with work delivered on a project basis that emphasizes outcomes over time targets.
You will work across a broad range of patent matters aligned with your technical background, taking responsibility for drafting, prosecution, direct client contact, and providing commercially focused IP advice. Senior attorneys remain closely involved and accessible, offering guidance, mentoring, and encouragement toward early independence, with opportunities to engage in oppositions and appeals depending on your interests and experience.
