Attorney at Law
Since 1892, Hoffmann Eitle has been known for experience and quality in the protection of intellectual property. The firm’s high level of competence and commitment to quality is illustrated by the many industry awards.
The firm is highly diverse, employing people from close to 30 different nations. Their international teams include members from Germany, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Holland, Denmark, Japan and China. One of the firm’s strengths is the interdisciplinary cooperation among the attorneys working in the fields of chemistry, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and IT, as well as specialising in the areas of patent litigation, trademark & design protection, licensing and competition law.
Hoffmann Eitle know that their reputation as a firm is based entirely on the quality of the individuals who work there. That is why they have never compromised and employ attorneys who are not only at the top of their game, but also share their enthusiasm and outlook.
The firm has seen considerable growth in recent years, partly from building their teams across their regional offices in the Netherlands, Spain, UK and Italy but also through the successful relationships established with a long-serving client base. Their excellent reputation for employing high calibre individuals, continues to attract interest from clients across the globe. As a positive consequence, the firm is now looking to appoint an ambitious, commercially-minded Attorney-at-Law, authorised before the DPMA and EUIPO, to join this high-profile firm and to take on a varied international portfolio of high-value clients.
This top tier firm does not take on just anyone. They attract talent who not only provides the requisite professional experience to manage some highly complex IP cases but the added value of bringing something extra to the firm. The culture rewards those who are ambitious, tenacious, commercially astute and who can think laterally for a client. Along the way, the firm offers a clear path to Associate Partner as the next step before future equity opportunities.
You will come to the role with at least three years of experience in the profession – ideally more, particularly if you aspire to becoming an Associate Partner. Because the team is at full capacity with client instructions, there is no time to train and develop someone, hence the importance that you are able to work independently and take on a varied and interesting portfolio of clients and client cases. You must demonstrate ambition, a strong commercial acumen and bring added-value to the firm, over and above your professional competencies.
Your earlier career could have been in either a private practice or industry setting. Both experiences are valuable to the role. What is important is that you are willing to help grow and develop the business through attending conferences, running seminars, writing articles and meeting potential clients.
