MWA Acquires UK Partner Ahead of Global Growth
International recruiter Merlin Wright Associates (MWA), a specialist in recruiting intellectual property professionals for European and global businesses, has acquired IP recruitment firm Marlow IP in a deal that will complement MWA’s global growth plans.
Marlow IP will retain its current name and branding as it becomes part of the MWA group.
Kieron Wright, founder and managing director of MWA, said the move would strengthen the group’s activities globally.
He said: “We have worked closely with Marlow IP for a number of years and formalising our partnership will enable us to offer our highly tailored and specialised recruitment service to more European companies who are looking to hire experts in patents, IP and trademarks.”
“The move comes at a time when our activity in Europe is increasing and demand for our services is coming from further afield, including South Korea and China.”
Kieron said that MWA’s growth plans would involve expanding its UK based team before the end of the year by creating two new roles in its research team in addition to the acquisition of Marlow IP.
