You will take a leading role in setting up, running and growing the Munich office, with responsibility for developing the firm’s German client base as well as being a conduit for European prosecution work emanating from Asia.
You will set out the strategic direction of the office and with this plan, you will hire additional patent attorneys to join the firm – this will become a branch office with at least five other professional members to the team. As a Partner of Berggren, you will work with the Business Development Team in raising the awareness of the firm to the local market and building up a client base. Berggren knows that this will take time, but they see this as a long-term initiative in the firm’s expansion. You will receive support from other colleagues and there will be a regular presence of attorneys to Munich to assist with establishing the culture, systems and processes whilst also engaging with client acquisition.
