The Opportunity

Dehns’ established their Munich office in 1999 to meet the growing demand for IP services and as part of their strategy to be located in a key technology hub within mainland Europe.  Dehns’ Munich office is situated in close proximity to the European Patent Office (EPO) and has particular strengths in patenting inventions relating to electronics, IT, communications and mechanical engineering fields, as well as fields relating to physics, materials science and medical devices. The Munich office also provides trade mark advice to clients from a wide range of sectors.

In 2013, Dehns established Dehns Germany, a partnership between Dehns and KGP, an experienced group of German patent and trade mark attorneys. Dehns Germany provides a one-stop shop, not just for European, German and British patent, design and trade mark filing and prosecution, but also for advising in the current national litigation environment.

The Role

Dehns has a substantial trade mark practice, and their attorneys are able to advise and assist clients in connection with all aspects of UK and overseas trade mark protection, including the selection/searching, registration, management and maintenance, policing and enforcement of trade marks.  They pride themselves on providing clients with pragmatic and commercially-relevant advice, particularly when assisting their clients to develop trade mark policies and strategies, or handling contentious matters or conflict situations.

Professional Qualities

There is now the opportunity for an experienced Rechtsanwalt within the trade mark field, to join the firm on a part-time basis.  Your years of experience of working as a qualified attorney-at-law, will equip you with the advisory skills needed for managing direct clients and fostering relationships.  Casework will cover the full range of trademark matters including filing of applications, oppositions, trademark infringement proceedings, licensing agreements and complex trademark application proceedings.
